Don Tomas Clasico Rothschild

"OK"

Not my favorite of the Don Tomas line. Crooked burn was irretrievable but it does have a good progression of flavors. Earthy start with hint of sweetness. Gets more spicy and leathery as it goes with underlying sweet and caramel all the way through. Finishes with a spicy white pepper nuance.

Wonderful cigar. I would rate it perfect for it's price if not for one small thing; they generate more than average amount of smoke, increasing the chances of attracting negative attention.

"A real 'Classic' in my book"

The Don Tomas Classico has become, over time, my "go to" smoke. I buy and smoke others, some good and some not so good, but when I want to sit back with something familiar, something predictable and something I know will satisfy my urge for a very good smoking experience, I know I can count on the Classico to come through for me, every time. I have cigars in my humidor for which I spent much more than I do for a Classico. Some are much nearer being 'worth the money' than others. Some provide a fantastic experience. But when it's time to sit down with something I can count on .... and with a cigar that will give me what I expect and want in terms of draw and taaste, then I reach for a Classico. I don't feel I could ever go wrong with one of these, $15 cigars be damned. If I could pick only one, for the rest of my life, I believe ti would be this one.

From start to finish this was one great cigar. Nice flavor the whole way through, great consistency. I have ordered a box and will see how that goes. If it goes like this me and Mr. Don Tomas will be great friends.

"Absolute experience"

I am a novice and I'm tasting several brands and cigar taste. I tried one Don Tomas Maduro Rothschild and found it simply perfect for my taste. It burns slow and uniform. The taste is rounded, smooth but full of flavors. It is absolutely one of my favorite with the Italian handmade Arabesque.

"Not too bad!"

Good burn,nice ash. Was expecting more from such a highly rated cigar. Flavor was just missing the mark,overall just a tad bland. Maybe some time in the humidor will help, if it does I will write more.
