Excalibur #4 Natural premium cigars are blended to be lighter in flavor than the main line Hoyo De Monterrey premium cigars. Named for the mythical sword, each Excalibur cigar is expertly handcrafted in a Cuban tradition dating back to 1865. Their unique character and aroma comes from a blend of the finest Dominican, Honduran, Nicaraguan fillers, Connecticut broadleaf binder and cedar-aged, U.S. Connecticut wrappers. A really fine cigar for the money, and a big favorite among golfers, too.

I have tried over 50 different brands and sizes! Outside of that rare Cuban, this is by far the best "legal" smoke I have tried!!

I had some of these a couple years ago and returned the box after two smokes. Thought I'd give 'em another try and bought a half dozen on sale here. Now I remember why I returned them in the first place. The cigar isn't put together right at all. It had a nice draw but really burned way too hot. The rim around the ash becomes black confirming that the tobacco either isn't cured or aged properly or the binder and wrapper aren't working together right. It is creamy tasting, but without much definition at all. Kinda like a batch of cookies made without salt. It's like it wants to be something but just can't get there. Which is what the cigar as a whole comes off like too.

Nice smoke, smooth and creamy, with hint of spice appearing in the last third. However, the draw was a bit tight, and I would have liked a bit more smoke. Overall a good cigar, but not a GREAT cigar.
