Famous Dominican Selection 4000 Robusto
"Pleasantly Surprised"
I got these for under twenty for a bundle. I was not expecting much at that price, but I really enjoy these cigars. Right out of the package, they have an even burn, a hint of pepper and leather, and a smooth, full, creamy smoke. They get even better with some time in the humidor.

every other cigar was poorly wrapped...the ones that were wrapped correctly were pretty good but threw 12-13 of 25 away

"Great Value"
What a pleasant surprise this bundle turned out to be. I have smoked and shared with others, almost the entire bundle at this point. I have found them to be well constructed, even drawing, with a firm even burning ash and nice spicey flavor. What more can I ask for? I will surely buy these again.

"Don't bother - lousy cigar"
Got these to experiment - even at a low cost, these are overpriced. Bad construction - wrapper often splits( and I kept them in a good humidor at a constant 70% humidity), draw is bad, frequent canoeing; flavor is brittle and harsh.

"Good Cigar-Great price!"
Very smooth without any bite. Real easy draw produces a very nice cloud of white smoke. I had a few burn problems toward the end but I really liked this one. This is my new every day smoke:)

"poor performer"
The Famous Nicaraguan "K" series (any of them) are my favorite everyday cigar. I thought I would branch out and so I tried the Famous Dominican 4000 Torpedo. Although the cigar looks good, and is constructed well, the positives stop there. The cigars are wrapped too loosely, so they burn hot.Flavor-wise, they have no distinctive character. They are, though, consistent in their mediocrity. I'm going back to the Famous Nicaraguan "K" series with my next purchase.

"Great for the price"
Tried one in a sampler, liked it enough that I ordered a box. About 10% have some issue but most are a real good smoke and for the price you can't beat it. A little seasoning helps.

"Pretty darn good!"
First, I am no cigar expert. However for a beginner cigar fan I found the Dominican 4000s to be well constructed, well balanced, and a great value for the price. First, they came individually wrapped inside the bundle packaging which I hadn't expected. I tried one the day of delivery and found it was pretty good right off the bat, Easy draw and a nice light flavor. It did burn un-even but that could totally be how I lit it as I'm still learning. And it corrected itself by the second half of the burn. I smoked it right down to a nub and never burnt my fingers. This is a great cigar for beginners especially but I'm certain pros will enjoy it as well. Great to keep on hand for a quick, quality smoke! Good job!

"Could be a lot better..."
I recently bought a bundle. I had to discard the first two I tried because they simply would not draw. Too tight. I have worked my way through most of the remainder and found several that were delicious, and several that ware simply too loose. The one word that describes my batch is "inconsistent." I'll try something else next time.
