"Rough start but mellows out"
Definitely a yard gar. You get a bad taste starting out but if you can give it 5 minutes, it will satisfy the need.

"Quality Cigar/Average Smoke"
Excellent construction, draw and burn. Unfortunately it lacks in the taste department. To me its just bland, mild and boring with little or no spice. Maybe a few months in the humi will make a difference. At this price point the VL N300 is much tastier and for a few bucks more the FDO Corojo's are good as well.

"Just Don't Know"
I can't rate this cigar because the wrapper fell off when I slipped it out of the cello. I rolled the remainder between my finger and thumb and the thing made a noise like dried oak leaves. I thought there was a chance I could still smoke it with just the binder, but when I clipped the end the whole thing just fell apart. Maybe I just got a bad batch? I paid a bit more than usual for this size because I thought I was paying for quality????? Won't ever happen again.

"I Like 'em"
I am very pleasantly surprised. I took a chance on a bundle of the torps (wondering why they were closed out so quickly) and it paid off. They are definitely for experienced smokers who like an outstanding, solid Nic Corojo. Very good taste. Some what smooth out of the wrapper but I think they will be outstanding with some humidor time. Also a very good looking cigar. I held one up next to an RP Edge and the color of the wrappers were almost identical. Excellent draw and construction. I am going to buy a couple more bundles to store away. Famous, why close these out?? For $1.80 a stick, these are a STEAL!! Actually, for $3.00 a stick they would be a steal...

"Harsh, young and tasty"
Gotta say, with a date on the bundle (Famous receipt date mind you) of 4-19-2009 these are young. Construction and draw was flawless on the one I have smoked so far. Harshness all around the edges, with yummy corojo flavor in the middle of it. Lots of strength and nic kick, not for the easily overwhelmed. I think a year or two of nap time will make these incredible cigars at any price. Might as well buy a few bundles while they have them.
