"Disappointing, and didn't burn well"
Got this smoke as part of a sampler pack, and it was very disappointing. Wouldn't burn evenly, didn't stay lit well enough to enjoy and tasted of nothing but acid and burnt leather. Even draw, but lousy over all.

"fine for a budget smoke"
I suppose reviews will be all over the map, as people have different expectations for a 'budget' cigar. I did not try these with the illusion that they would compare favorably with the established brands. But they have a pleasing, mild taste (after the initial pepper when you first light them) that is quite acceptable. I enjoyed them.

"I just don't know."
I just don't know what happened to quality control when this cigar was made. The burn was uneven to say the least. Issues with stems and veins caused the flavors to work against one another instead of with each other. The overall taste had A harshness to it. Completely unbalanced, the best I could give this particular cigar was A rating of 78. I hope this was the exception and not the rule for this line.

I have now tried all three of the VSL selections and they are all excellent. Great taste, great aroma, and great price.

"Good smoke, I love the Famous Private Selections!"
It was very consistent and had a nice hint of coffee along with a small hint of dark chocolate. The bitter flavor was a nice surprise.

"Excellent Smoke"
Wow. I am very surprised at how good these smokes are. I wish that I could afford to purchase more because they are good. However, they are over priced for a private label.

This is not your medium body vsl blend you would expect from Honduras. Should be refunded because it is very mild and bitter.

"Not a value by a long stretch"
Draw was very inconsistent from one to the next. Just gave up on keeping some burning and tossed them. Often had to drill one out to get any draw. Bitter, unpleasant taste. Could not finish one to a reasonable point. Don't waste you $ on these or the other VSL Famous packs. I was disappointed by all three I tried. The "value" was left out.

"nice smoke!"
Definitly a good cigar to try. It had a blast of pepper to start then smoothed out with a coffee, woody finish. Perfect burn , a 1 1/2 inch ash and solid to the end.
