"Great cigar but the wrappers were flaky"

I loved this cigar. The flavor and burn were fantastic. I thought the flavor was a little more on the medium side of full but it was great. The only problem I had was that all 5 had wrapper problems as they were flaky and unraveled easily. It just could have been a bad batch or packaging. I will order more because Ernesto is worth trusting and I trust that this was a fluke. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this cigar.

"Mixed Feelings"

I have mixed feelings about this cigar. The taste and appearance of this cigar were amazing. However, the construction and burn were questionable. This thing tunnelled like it was trying to break out of jail. The unbelievable taste was the only thing that kept me relighting and turning to try and even things up. I'll have to try another before giving a final verdict on this one. This one must have sneaked past the "two master torcedors" that roll these.

A very good cigar. PERFECT construction which leads to a beautiful draw. The natural wrapper is nice with some good spice comig through. the maduro added a bit more complexity to the cigar, a bit of sweetnessnes on the lips perhaps. Ernesto, well done indeed!!

This dark-matter beauty is so thick, so rich, so creamy it almost knocked me out of orbit. Construction flawless and tight. Superb draw leaves opaque nebular clouds of smoke. Tastes of leather, nuts, coffee create a supernova of flavor. Burn can be uneven a bit, this stick smokes best slightly dryer than 70/70. Leave it out the day before. I focus in at 90+

I have known Ernesto Carillo for about 25+ years, and used to visit him in his shop in Miami's Little Havana. I have always been impressed with his dedication and his cigars. This one TOPS THEM ALL! About as close to his homeland's cigars as you can get! Reminds me of a Cohiba Limited Edicion Sublima in many ways. I'd like to age them another year or so but I can't keep my cotton-pickin' hands off them. Not necessarily for the beginner, however. Bravo, Ernesto, bravo!!!
