Nicarao Robusto

Nicarao Robusto
I don't know what Nicarao's you bad reviewers have been smokin, but I still have some of the original cigars that I bought about 3 years ago from my local cigar shop. They are the same stick as these from FSS! About the only noticable difference is the missing RP sticker on the seal of the plastic wrapper! This is one of my all-time favorite cigars! The taste is consistantly good all the way down to a stub. I don't know why they quit producing these! Thanks for still having them...FSS!

"pleasant"
Nicarao Robusto
Although this is described as a full-bodied cigar, the flavors are not harsh at all. It starts out with easy woody tones that stay until near the end. When you've got just a stub, a peppery taste takes the stage. It's not too strong, but gives the cigar a nice finish. My only issues were this cigar didn't want to stay lit during the last third, and the draw at the beginning was a bit stiff, but after the cigar had warmed up a bit, I could lightly squeeze and flex it to get a bit better draw. Great for a lazy evening looking at the stars and moon.

"No expectations but no complaint."
Nicarao Robusto
Was not sure what to expect when ordering. But was satisfied with the smoke overall. No world beater, Lets say OK for golf.

"Horrible"
Nicarao Torpedo
Famous was one of the few retailers who offered the original Nicarao. Aside from occasional burn problems this was an outstanding cigar at a great price. This Rocky incarnation looks nothing like the real Nicarao, tastes nothing like the real Nicarao and is, by itself awful tasting. Shameless money grubbing from Rocky adding another brand to his endless stable of sticks. And I'm disappointed in Famous.

"A VERY average cigar"
Nicarao Churchill
Well, even after 8 months these cigars are still VERY average. Not bad, mind you, rather just....meh. A straight forward tobacco taste with a nice burn.
These are my normal golf course cigar.

"Worst rolled cigars I've ever had"
Nicarao Torpedo
I have cut almost every cigar to about 3/4 length because the draw is horrible. Never again.

"Surprisingly good smoke"
Nicarao Torpedo
I ordered a 20 box of RP American Market Toros after trying a 5-pack at the suggestion of FSS. I also received the free 10-pack RP sampler. As luck had it I opened the sampler first and tried a Nicarao just because I liked the looks of it. It was a truly excellent smoke and-- in my opinion-- smoother than the American Market sticks and even better than the Monte White Especial No. 3s that are my regulars. Very good draw (on the Robusto) and the wrapper held together better than did the AM's. I'm sending back the unopened box of American Market and have ordered a box of the Nicaraos. Recommend giving these a try.

"Nice Cigar"
Nicarao Robusto
I've been buying these up on the "Sale" Close out. They are my everyday go to smoke for $2, not a bad deal. I probably wouldn't be a buyer at $80, but at $40, I'm in big!

"Not good."
Nicarao Torpedo
I smoke a couple of cigars a day, and like to try new ones to supplement my daily favorites. Picked up this pack on sale (thankfully). First one I cut, both the outer and inner wrapper crumbled. Second one was a bit better-constructed (only the outer wrapper came apart upon being cut). The draw was not dissimilar from sucking on a straw, and the taste was just plain bad, how you would imagine smoking a pile of leaves would be. But hey, at least the burn was even.

"Excellent Cigar!"
Next
Excellent cigar. One of the best I have ever smoked. Very smooth and creamy. Slightly spice with mild sweet overtones. Flavors of coffee, earthy tones and woody flavors.
I bought these because you can never go wrong with a Rocky Patel cigar. I was not only pleased but very surprised.
The price makes this cigar even better. Another jewel from Rocky Patel.
