Oliva Serie V Double Robusto
"Consistently Great"
Oliva Serie V Double Robusto
Most people you talk to who have had an Oliva V will have it very high on their list. A friend told me it's one of the most consistent cigars from one vitola to the other and after having three of the different vitolas I would have to agree.
Oliva did a great job with the Serie V in making a nice Full Flavored cigar that is very well balanced and not overpowering or harsh as some full bodied smokes can be. Just a great all around cigar and definitely a must have for my humidor.

"Oliva V"
Oliva Serie V Double Robusto Tubos
I had tried an Oliva V torpedo in the past. I remember it as a little harsh. I chocked it up to perhaps being a little young.
I tried the double robusto the other night. It was harsh. There may have been flavor there. But the strength and harshness struck me as being there just for the sake of strength itself. They masked any pleasant flavors that may have been present.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I just don't get what all the raving is about concerning ligero nicotine bombs.
I'll take an E.P. Corrillo Elenco cigar any day of the week. Tons of interesting flavors in a cigar that doesn't find it necessary to try to be the strongest thing in the humidor.
That, my friend, is blending skill. That's what premium cigars are all about in my opinion. Not just strength and nicotine for their own sake.
I've smoked cigars for going on 50 years and I'm hardly a newbie. I guess different tastes in cigars makes for a wide selection to choose from. I'm all for that. Happy smoking!

"pretty nice"
Oliva Serie V Double Robusto Tubos
Started off with a strong earthy tobacco. Melted into a nice nutty flavor with hints of sweet cream. Then it slid into a slightly sweet sugar and back to the Earthy Tobacco. I am getting towards the end and am Pleased with this cigar. I still prefer the O serie to this but its definitely worth buying. The smell it gives off is quite lovely. I will definitely buy some more of these in the future. Only real downside was the line at the beginning. It wavered quite a bit. After a little caressing with my vector it straightened out and staid pretty straight. The draw is a little tight but it helps the cigar last longer. Definitely in the 90s out of 100

"Serie V - they're all good!"
Oliva Serie V Double Robusto
Great smoke - somewhat different flavor profile than the standard Serie V - is it a different blend, or is it my imagination?

"Dissapointed!"
Oliva Serie V Double Robusto
I was expecting a lot from this cigar after I read all the rave reviews. This cigar was really really harsh and lacks any flavor. I smoked 3/5 of it, as I kept puffing and puffing, waiting for it come alive, but it never did. I had to toss the damn thing. Never have I been so dissapointed. 2 hrs later, I could still taste the harshness in my mouth. Maybe it was just my memory playing tricks on me. I will stick to my Cubans, Arturos, and Padron. The only good thing I would say about the cigar, is the wrapper and caps are done nicely.

"One Word: Awesome!"
Oliva Serie V Torpedo
One can describe this cigar with just one word: Awesome! The look and the taste is great. Draw is tight and it burns evenly. If you find it too hard, wait until you reach the end. Bought a box and smoked two of em already! Strictly recommend to cigar lovers...

"Well Made"
Oliva Serie V Double Toro 5 Pk
One of the best made cigars that I have ever smoked. The taste and flavor was simple, straight tobacco until the final 1/2". Then the spices kicked in. A good cigar but I was expecting more flavor.

Iv'e read a lot of good things about "The V" Serie so I was waiting for enough time for them to rest ( 2 wks.) I do agree with those W/positive opinions A really good cigar all the way down to 1" . I'm writing this as I finish it. I rate it right up there with a Padron,Camacho or one of those Bolivars or Nat Shermans.
