"SO THIS IS THE 'CHAMPION'"
SMOKEDMY FIRST TWO 'CHAMPIONS' THIS WEEK. THE FLAVOR IS OUTSTANDING BUT I FIND THEM A BIT TOO MILD. I AM BIG ON THE PUNCH OSCURO LINE. HOW-
EVER, I'LL NOT TURN DOWN THE CHAMPION LINE.
SURPRISED ME.

Punch Elites
"How it all began"
This is the cigar that got me into cigars. It's just the right size, with quality construction, and a fair price. The taste is rich and satisfying, nothing complicated, just creamy tobacco flavor. I bought a couple of Elites about a year ago at the local liquor store and the rest is history.

Punch Rothschild 5 Pack
"Great smoke!"
One of these found its way into my humidor. I smoked this on a 30 minute ride to a gig. A strong cigar that leaves you with that full belly feeling. Lots of smoke. Burn was superb and the ash held on for over half the length of this short cigar, with the windows down driving 45mph. Taste was to my uneducated palate somewhat nutty with lots of spice, but my experience with fuller strength smokes is somewhat limited. I'll definitely buy more.

"Good value in an everyday smoke"
I couldn't smoke one of these every day although I have friends that could. I like variety and that includes a premium cigar every now and then. Out of my supply of everyday smokes I occasionally select a Punch Rothschild or Champion. I have always found them to be a good medium smoke that is slightly sweet and spicy but not harsh. My only complaint is that the wrappers are sometimes fragile on the rothschild especially if you age them. A very good cigar for the money.

"Not Punch's best but a ok short/affordable smoke"
Flavor was a little too bold for my taste. I do favor mild to medium range cigars though. Seemed to be on the cheaper side of Punch's usual masterpieces.

"Stand up little rocket"
This cigar is a sweet little number, self-contained and good with cognac. Like a good movie that is not too heavy - entertaining and ejoyable and never a downer.

Punch Champion
"So-so"
I tried this cigar based on the reviews that I read, I was a little disapointed after trying a few of these. The appearance is stunning, but I found that it did not draw or burn well. The first two thirds tasted pretty good to me but the latter third dropped off my charts for a repeat purchase. For perspective, I have only been smoking finer cigars for about a year so it is possible that I am not seasoned enough to provide an excellent critique, favorites are definitely a personal preference, and should be considered.

"...not as good as I thought it would be..."
I bought a box English Market Selection based on the brand name, size and appearance. Technically, the cigars are nice - well constructed, tight, good draw and burn...then came the taste...tobacco. That was it - nothing else but that. Only thing I can say is that it was consitent from beginning to end in all respects...and the flavour too. This is the one I'm giving to casual acquaintances and saving the others in my collection for the special times.

"Punch Pita good taste poor draw"
Punch cigars need a construction tune-up. Good taste but the bosses at Punch must be sleeping on the job. Almost all are tight at the draw. Maybe this will wake them up finally.
