I must admit, I do love most Rocky Patel sticks and this one is no exception. Huge bang for the buck on these guys. I followed up a home-cooked steak dinner with a sazerac and an RP Renaissance robuston. The sweetened bourbon worked nicely with the cigar's spicky, smoky flavors. Beautiful to the eyer, easy light, perfect burn, silky smooth smoke ... love it all the way through. Put some in your collection and recommend to friends. Solid.

What can I say about this cigar? Its rich, very flavorful, smooth, it has a hint of spice, pepper, and maybe a hint of sweetness. Everything about this cigar is superlative. The burn is great. It is very very consistent. The draw is very good, but not the best, but almost. Regarding appearance it's a gorgous dark brown that is remanisant of dark, healthy, rich, soil and wood. The taste is very smooth, complex, rich, what you would expect from Rocky Patel. The construction is great hence an even burn, good drawn, taste, and appearance. The question should be, "What negative things can I say about this cigar?" Rocky's cigars have become my favorite, and will always have a permanent section in my humidor!

That's right...just ok. I'm a big RP fan ranging from the 1990 Vintage to the Edge Maduro. One of the retail sales guys steered me to the Renaissance - I figured for the price, it should be quite good. I found the cigar 'average'. Nothing bad about it but at the same time, nothing special. It even started to unravel a bit while I smoked it in the Famous Lounge. For all the hype, the red velvet liner on the box lid was misprinted giving it a 'cheap' look. I should have tried it before purchasing - I could have got two boxes of Corojo RP for that and been about the same <sigh>.

Got some of these from a cigar expo and must say are another Rocky knockout. Had a bit of a hard draw but overall would strongly suggest to anyone looking for a strong side of medium stogie! Just plain good!!!

This was an awesome cigar! Excellent taste and after taste! Toke me a good hour and a half to two hours to smoke. Couldn't ask for a better Rocky Patel!
