Rocky Patel Sun Grown Sixty
"Wow, this stick rocks!"
I have never had a Rocky Patel that I didn't like. Decade, Edge, Cuban Blend and Olde World Reserve being some of my favorites. But the RP Sun Grown tops the list in my book. As with all RP's, excellent construction, burn and most of all - FLAVOR! Spicy wrapper gives this stick an awesome taste but is also very smooth. Never an aftertaste the next morning. Not priced to be an "everyday" cigar, but a nice treat if you just simply want the best. Rocky rocks!

Sun Grown by Rocky Patel Torpedo 5 Pack
"awesome..."
Smoke these a lot, normally purchase from my local cigar store for 12.95 a stick. I am kicking myself that I only bought 2 5 packs from cigarmonster what a deal.
Great smooth smoke, good construction, smooth burn, really one of the best all around cigars. Wish I would have just stocked the humi with these.
Girlfriend rating: 'You better enjoy that thing because you know you aren't going to be kissing me tonight after smoking that cigar'

"Can You Say Strong?"
This is the most powerful smoke I have experienced yet. My head was buzzing like I had just tossed back about 3-4 shots of tequila. This is definitely not a smoke for beginners. I made sure I ate something before firing this stick up, and I'm glad I did. If I hadn't, I'd be feeling it even more. I'm not necessarily a beginner at smoking, but this one almost knocked me on my butt, and it was only a PC. It was a well made cigar and burnt pretty well, but my only gripe was that it self-extinguished near the middle and I had been drawing on it fairly consistently. I don't think I'll be smoking any more of these. Definitely too strong for my tastes.

"Not Rocky's best...by far"
This is a beautiful thing to look at, and well constructed. Just don't light it. Only 2 words come to mind bitter & harsh. I like med to full flavor but these are reminiscent of a piece of burning grapevine. Save your money for better sticks!!!

I've been an Opus-X smoker for a long time and will continue to be one however this Sun Grown Torpedo by Rocky is going to be my number one choice from here out ! This cigar is GREAT, right down to the nub ! The price can't be beat for the quality this baby has got ! Watch out Carlito !

Rocky Patel Sun Grown Juniors (Tin of 5 Cigars)
"Rocky Rocky"
Won a 5-pack on the auction site. Ok cigar, but nothing special. Go with the Padron Corticos Natural tin instead !!!

"Good Safe Smoke"
A good smoke from RP. A step up for a beginner who wants to venture into naturals. Well made and an easy draw. Flavor is a little inconsistent but good non the less.

Sun Grown by Rocky Patel Robusto
"What can i say...BUT.."
well... what can i say?... it's a rocky. Perhaps i've grown acustomed to getting a premium smoke from RP. Perhaps quality is important at RP...i've yet to discover anything from RP to suggest otherwise. When it comes to Rocky Patel cigars you will rarely be dissapointed. You may not like the strength, or flavour of a RP stick.. but you can never discount the quality. The RP "sun grown" robusto is one such stick for me. It's a great stick that has a great appearance, quality constructed, flavourful stick. The sun grown is less smooth than other RP brands, perhaps it is the intent of RP to have created a stick for people who like a bite to their cigars. The burn was even to the end. The ash was a very light grey, not very firm though(dropped around 3/4- 1 in.) surprisingly, the sitck didn't get hot until the last inch of smoking.
Like i have said this is another quality stick from those fine folks at RP.. it's just not my cup of tea. I doubt i'll be restocking these.. will smoke them if recieve in a sampler or special offer. They really are a good smoke, i just don't like the flavor, and bite i get from these.. try a five pack, you might love these!!
