"Decent Everyday Stick..."
The Santiago Robusto is well built, burns great and draws well. Closer to medium than mild, it has a really agreeable taste that lasts just long enough for a soak in the hottub. I expect them to improve with time in the locker. If you've looked at these and thought "maybe", give'em a try. Glad I did.

"Santiago Bundle Cigars - Not bad"
When I used to visit Miami, while my gf was at work I'd wander around downtown taking in the Cuban/Latin American culture ... cuban expresso, empanadas, batidos, musica, museums, groceries, tabacaleras, beautiful Catholic Churches, mini plazas and malls, etc. All around are little Cuban coffee shops or cafeterias and either by the indoor cash register or in the serving windows on the street they often would have bundles of cigars sitting there with a price tag stuck to the side for individual smokes ... Some of the better ones were Bauza Presidentes (a soft in the middle mixed filler Churchill sized version with a dark/maduro wrapper), Padrons - when you could find them (Cazadores or Fumas) and other brands ... on the next lower level, about equal were the F.D. Graves and the Santiagos, not great but really not bad ... the latter had a "sweet" cap. There were other brands that I didn't care for (loved the bundle art though), but I don't recall being disappointed by the Santiagos ... for the price ... usually under $1 a stick.

"so-so"
got these cheap in an auction... the bundle thus far is so-so.. the first one was very loose and burned almost as fast as a cigarette. twas very dry and tasted like cardboard. the second one, however, was a lot better. definitely not as good as a don kiki red label (one of my personal favorite "cheap smokes"), but it held some promise at least. after about 3 months in the humi, i think these can turn out to be decent "every-day" smokes, although there are much better brands out there for equal price.

"EXCELLENT CIGAR & GETS EVEN BETTER WITH AGE!"
When I read some of the negative reviews about this cigar, I can only wonder what planet they are from. I've bought at least 8 of these bundles and from the very first Santiago cigar I smoked, I could not believe how excellent it tasted! I prefer Maduro cigars most of the time, but when I tasted the Santiago, I was extremely impressed with its flavor, and I'm not easily impressed! All my Santiago's have burned fairly well and each had a nice firm white ash. With one of my Santiago's, the ash stayed very firm all the way to the band. I haven't had a premium cigar that held together like this cigar. This is a short filler cigar so everyone should keep that in mind. There will be minor inconsistencies from time to time, but the flavor and value of the Santiago out-weigh all that! I hope these never run out. For those of you who want to throw your Santiago's out, call Famous and I will take them off your hands.

"Competes with Phillies Blunts"
The only cigar that i have bought from FS that had no flavor, even for a mild cigar. If you like smoke just to make smoke...this is your ticket. otherwise its not worth any serious cigar smokers time or humidor space. One other thing, made in La Aurora factory...so is stool. This is the only unfavorable review ever written by me.

"Excellent Cigar ! Comparable to Macanudo Hyde Park"
Excellent Cigar ! I can't believe I'm the 1st one to comment on it. For under a buck a stick I don't think you can sell anything else that can touch it. Flavor wise it's comparable to a Macanudo Hyde Park. It's wrapped a little loose so the burn is a little inconsistent but thats the only negative thing I can say. GREAT SMOKE !

"Always looking for an everyday"
Tried Tesoro's and then went with the Santiago's. I went and purchased a bundle since they were extremely cheap and I was dissappointed to say the least. I still have half a bundle and plan to trash them. They are basically wasting space in my humidor. Uneven burns everywhere and the wrapper splits and breaks on a regular basis. I am still looking for a cheap everyday and I will not recommend this one. Save the money and try another brand.
