"One of the Best I have ever smoked!"
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
The look and taste of this cigar is one of the best I have smoked and I have smoked a wide varity of cigars. I had put this cigar in my humidor and smoked one the other day and I have been on the hunt ever since to buy more. Great smoke Rocky!

"Spice Reveals a Great Smoke"
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
While I am somewhat new to the cigar scene I thought it would be worth it to put my two cents in on this great smoke. I ordered a sampler and allowed them to mellow for 3 weeks. Tried a toro, here are my thoughts.
Initially very spicy (and I like full flavor maduros) off-putting but subsides quickly into a smooth but flavorful smoke. Cherry and sweet-malt, followed by smooth woody flavors until the end. There was a point when an uneven burn started which I had to staunch by re-lighting around the vein which was burning too fast.
A good overall smoke at a great value. I would suggest letting them sit a while. Comments on dead cigars may be overblown as construction seems consistent throughout my sampler, I will edit this post if I get one with anything less than a good (80) draw.

"Don't miss out..."
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
Pay no attention to alot of the other reviews. I don't know if some of the other reviewers are new to smoking cigars and don't realize that with any hand-rolled cigar you're gonna' get a plugged one once in a while but I have been smoking premiums for over 40 years and this is a very good cigar. No..this is a great cigar. Got a couple in a sampler and I thought they were delicious. Drew well, nice construction and a very nice taste with a black cherry undertone. The wife even thought it had a pleasant aroma. Comparable to the 1961 but for less money. Will definitely order more. Don't miss out on this cigar.

"Enjoyable Cigar"
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
I received this cigar in a sampler and enjoyed the cigar. It was smooth for a full body cigar. I liked the 1961 slightly better but would not hesitate to add these to my collection.

"Would not buy again"
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
It was stated these cigars were well aged but I don't think they were aged more than six months. The start and the middle were good but it left me a little nauseated at the finish. I've smoked Rocky's Edge and rated at 94 and highly recommend it to anyone who will listen. This smoke pales in comparison and I will not recommend it to anyone. It had a tight draw, an uneven burn and would go out frequently if I wasn't continually correcting the burn with my torch lighter. The head of the cigar started to unravel half way through. I believe I gave it a fair trial smoking it down to the last inch and a quarter but it was at this point I couldn't take it anymore. I'll smoke a great cigar down to half-inch. This smoke was far from a great cigar.

"A hooker couldn't smoke this thing."
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
I must say the few puffs I did get tasted pretty good, but after 20 minutes of fooling around trying to get this baby to draw right I chucked it in the trash. First I cut a plug out and lit it, wouldn't draw. Next I sent a 1/16" rod down through it a couple times ( this usually fixes the occassional tight roll you run into), still wouldn't draw. Next I cut the whole tip off figuring that might do it, nope. If I had a pipe, I'd a chopped the sumbitch up and smoked it but I don't so I chucked it. Not much worse than getting a bad smoke when you were expecting something good.

"I would put my signature on another cigar"
Famous Signature Series by Rocky Patel Robusto
Well this cigar was the best of the 3 new blends but its strike 3 for all the new cigars for me. A good smoke by any means but still leaves me wondering if these cigars were all that. I would have been buying the 12 sampler every day but the only real good smokes were the 1961s so the money was worth it just for them. Still a loyal fan of Rocky, just not going to buy any more of these.

Don't get me wrong, this is a perfectly passable smoke and I smoked it without resting. Some peeling on the wrapper, slight damage to the foot, and draw was perfect. Room note was excellent and my fiancee complimented it. The cigar starts out fierce. A very spicy black pepper taste. It continued with black pepper and picked up a tiny bit of coffee 2/3 through and reduced strength to about M-F body. Burn required tending as it would tend to go out if left for more than a minute or so, and had a tendency to go uneven a tiny bit.
Not complex, not really much of a changing flavor but decent and taste was acceptable. Will let the others I have rest for 6 months or a year then try again. I'd give it a 75.
