"Had to poke every cigar to get a draw."
While the flavor was decent, it was not as good as a Backwoods. I bought a box, and every cigar has to be poked to be smoked. Sometimes several times during the smoke.
If they redo it to make it looser I might try again, for now don't bother.

"Starts good but will not buy again"
With my last order I decided to try these cigars. The first few I smoked I wondered why the reviews were less than good. But, as I smoked more, I got tried of the of the bad taste and could not wait to finish them and get back to my Backwoods. I am just glad I only ordered one pack, instead of a whole box.

"Good cigars, I'm buying more"
Good cigars for the money, I'm ordering more of these. Great every day smoke and they taste good too.

"So close, yet so far away"
A good idea, but it really misses the mark, Billed as a higher quality, but cheaper alternative to Backwoods. The construction is a lot neater and more consistent than Backwoods, but that's not all good. The rough footer is for show only. It shows that the rollers have a nice sense of aesthetics. Unfortunately, it makes lighting one a somewhat formidable task. The tobacco is definitely a cut above backwoods. The draw, however, is the deal breaker. Since these cigars don't have a binder, they really need to tell the rollers not to roll them so tight. It's a formidable chore to draw anything through them. Your only hope is to let them dry out for awhile, which is not good.

"beats dry backwoods"
This is a good smoke for the money..Backwoods are way to dry and and burn way to fast....I have had very little problem with the draw of the ugly. It may not smell good in the bag but its a good smoke...My friends love them.

"better than dry rolled"
yes they're ugly. I snip off the frayed tip and light-em up. They are slightly sweet, slightly moist, and use a dark coarse wrapper. I have no complaints about them. I keep them in a humidor if they'll be opened for more than a few days.

"Ugly Coyote or Ugly Mutt"
I bought these because they were cheaper than Backwoods and Swisher-mistake!
About 2 out of 8 don't draw. They make Backwoods taste like a Cohiba. Not worth the savings. I will stick with Swisher/Backwoods.
