Medalist by Alec Bradley Churchill cigars are full-flavored premium cigars enriched by a mouthwatering Costa Rican wrapper that surrounds a complex blend of Honduran, Nicaraguan, and U.S. Connecticut tobaccos. The construction, earthy flavor, and aroma are all first-rate. Highly recommended.
I just got my order today (011306). I opened the box and the aroma was sensational. I couldn't wait to try one. I can see why Gary says they are his new favorite. It definetly made my list of favorites. Construction is great, burns great, nice gray ash. The draw was exceptional, taste was full yet smooth. I would recommend this cigar for new and old time cigar smokers. Worth every cent. I wish these came in boxes of twenty, ten won't last very long. Already ordered another box.
I had to throw out 6 of a box of ten because I couldn't get a draw. I purchased these last summer when famous had them for cheap. They were tight to begin with and even after a year of aging they did not improve. The four I did smoke were not good sour taste, burned bad and were just harsh. I smoked one right away and smoked the other three this week.
when travelling abroad i rely on Alec Bradley's - especially the Medalists for their quality and flavour. never had a bad one either.
I think these are pretty good when they're good, but not worth the money when they're bad. Unfortunately they are bad too often. I lit one up just a couple of days ago, and fought the draw all the way through , which ruins even a great cigar. They may be worth a chance from time to time, but I HATE looking forward to a nice cigar and being let down like that.
