Ashton Cabinet No. 8 cigars are exquisitely handcrafted with 5 different 4 to 5 year-aged Dominican tobaccos draped in seamless Connecticut shade wrappers aged 1 extra year. A marvelously smooth, well-rounded and aromatic cigar that's also rich, creamy and multidimensional. A must try!
I picked one of these up this morning and smoked it while driving. I usually smoke Maduros or naturals with a darker wrapper, but I was curious about these because I love Ashton Aged Maduros. The stick lasted about an hour and a half, but I smoke cigars furiously so it would probably last 2 hours for most. The burn, draw, and construction were perfect, like an Ashton should be. It had a nice flavor to it, I would describe it as a fuller bodied Montecristo. The flavor was good from start to finish. So all in all it was a great cigar, but not a unique one. You can find a similar quality cigar for a lower price, but hey, if you have the money to burn all the time, you can't beat the perfect burn and easy draw.
very uneven burn requiring frequent touch-ups. taste was nothing special, especially considering the price. would not buy again
Don't let the "mild" designation fool you. This is an outstanding smoke. Full of flavor, excellent draw, perfect construction, wonderful aroma. Worth every penny!
