Every new Spanish Cedar lined humidor needs to be seasoned before it's ready for cigars. Skip this step and the dry cedar interior will pull moisture straight from your sticks. Boveda's 84% seasoning packs take all the guesswork out of it. Just place one pack inside your empty humidor for every 25 cigars it holds, close the lid, and don't touch it for 14 days. No distilled water, no wet sponges, no mess.

Each pack releases pure water vapor directly into the cellular structure of the wood, bringing it up to the ideal moisture level without any risk of warping, shocking, or molding. After 14 days, toss the packs out (they're a one-time-use item) and swap in your preferred Boveda maintenance level. Your humidor will be dialed in and ready to go.
