Eduardo Fernandez built Aganorsa into one of Nicaragua's great tobacco-growing operations, and the Miami Reserva Corojo is where all that agricultural muscle really shows up. A Nicaraguan puro through and through, the cigar uses rare Medio Tiempo ligero leaf, harvested from the very top of the plant where sun exposure is highest and tobacco runs strongest, as the wrapper. Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 from Aganorsa's Jalapa, Condega, and Estelí farms fill the rest of the blend. Cuban exile rollers in Miami put the whole thing together by hand.
Full in body and built for smokers who mean it, the Corojo opens with black pepper and a sweet cinnamon spice, then transitions into café au lait, cashew, caramel, and a rich cocoa that deepens through the second half. The finish is long, velvety, and genuinely complex. These age beautifully, so grab a few extras for the humidor while they're in stock.
