La Gloria Cubana Intencion

At Famous Cigars, we’re tipping our hats to this spinoff from the famed La Gloria Cubana cigar brand, Intención. Matter of fact, we marked this as one of the best values of all the industry-wide 2026 cigar introductions.

What’s the big deal?

It’s a throwback beauty: bolder, bigger, boutique-ier!

The LGC folks said Intención began with the intention (hence the name) to “create satisfying, fuller-bodied cigars at a price all cigar lovers could access, so that’s exactly what we’re giving fans. Nothing flashy, just a real quality cigar.”

And did they ever: The blend consists of a velvet-textured Mexican San Andres wrapper that cloaks Nicaraguan (Esteli) Ligero and Viso, plus Honduran La Entrada Ligero and Jamastran Viso long fillers from Esteli, all held together with binder from Indonesia. (While all this technical stuff sounds impressive, it really just translates to ‘delicious recipe worthy of smoking’.) Expect bold, spiced notes of leather and chocolate in three big-and-bigger sizes that La Gloria fans have come to enjoy most!

Now, the price. This is the best part: even with tariffs and taxes and manufacturer price increases, La Gloria Intención is – and will be, for quite a while - less than $10 a cigar. That kind of bargain is unheard of for such a full-flavored smoke, but we wholeheartedly encourage it.

Bottom line is, there is no downside to this release. There’s a saying in Spanish – Bueno, bonito, y barato – and it certainly applies to this timeless brand that keeps innovating.
