When you want a complex smoke without having to work for it, the Muestra de Saka Habano is exactly where to start. Steve Saka sourced a Colorado-colored, oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and wrapped it around a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers from all four of the country's prime growing regions: Jalapa, Condega, Ometepe, and Estelí. Every stick is rolled at Joya de Nicaragua, with tobacco bale-aged a minimum of five years before a roller ever touches it.
It opens with sweet cedar and a dusting of cinnamon, then transitions into chocolate, toasted nuts, and a gentle black pepper that keeps things lively without turning sharp. Medium-full in strength, it's bold enough to hold your attention and smooth enough to go the full hour. Each cigar arrives in its own cedar coffin, seven to a box, in limited quantities. Grab a box before they disappear.
