Master blender Jose O. Padron inspired the 1926 Series, a line created to celebrate his 75th birthday and a lifetime in tobacco. The goal was simple: a box pressed, full bodied cigar that combines complexity, balance, and concentrated flavor in every size. All of the tobaccos used are aged five years, giving the blend a refined depth that newer cigars rarely match.
Since release, the 1926 Series has collected one honor after another, including the top spot on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list in 2007 and a place on the very first list in 2004. A 97 point rating in 2017 and another appearance near the top of the rankings show that the blend continues to impress critics and devoted fans alike.
Boxes can be scarce, but even a single 1926 is worth taking home when you want to understand why Padron holds such a respected place in the cigar world.
