Abe Flores crafted the PDR 1878 series as a tribute to Santiago, the Dominican city where his passion for cigars took root. The Capa Oscura wraps a Dominican Habano binder and all-Dominican Corojo long fillers in a dark, toothy Ecuadorian Sun Grown Oscuro leaf, rolled at PDR's own factory in Tamboril using the time-honored entubado bunching method. That technique makes all the difference, allowing air to move freely through each filler leaf and coaxing out every bit of flavor the blend has to offer.

Medium in body, the smoke opens with sweet earth and dry cocoa, then settles into a pleasant mix of dark chocolate and a quiet, lingering sweetness.
