Since 2015, Kyle Gellis has dropped the Lirio Rojo as a limited annual release, and it sells out fast every time. That track record says a lot. A true Nicaraguan puro, the blend pulls from Aganorsa's Jalapa valley with a reddish Corojo '99 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 filler. Strength runs medium to medium-full, and the cigar ships unbanded in a 50-count box, which gives it a classic, old-world feel.
The flavor leans Cuban-esque in the best way: creamy bread, warm caramel, a touch of cinnamon, and a gentle black pepper that builds through the second half. It's a smooth, balanced smoke without ever feeling thin. If you've been sleeping on this one, now's the time to stock up before they're gone again.
