The 601 Green Label Oscuro cigar series comprises a full-bodied blend, originally created many moons ago at the Don Pepin Garcia factory in EstelÃ, Nicaragua. Today the phenomenally rich, complex flavor and outstanding quality continues via the gifted hands of AJ Fernandez with a superb blend of perfectly-aged Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos. Seamlessly rolled in a dark, shimmering Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper leaf that caps a core of Nicaraguan fillers & binder, these puros are, by far, among the most full-flavored in the 601 series, yet remarkably not overpowering. Each cigar is precisely blended to issue a robust, well-balanced smoke brimming with juicy complexity from first light to last puff. If you crave big, bold Nicaraguan flavor and aroma in your cigars, add a box of these humidor-worthy selections to your cart today.
a greate
One of my top 5 faves in my humi rotation. I absolutely love this cigar with my morning coffee or later in the evening. Solid medium full with good strength and spice all the way through to the nub. The flavor is succulent, chocolatey and nutty with hints of fruit. Yum! Needs at least a week in the humi as they arrive dry.
I have had many, many five packs of these. They are chock full jammed with Nica flavor, but not too strong, nicotine-wise. I will be ordering many more, I am certain.
Lifechanging may seem dramatic, but in the context of the world of cigars, that is what this cigar is. A flavor that was not overwhelming but also not soft. It burned wonderfully and gave me the best smoke I have ever had. My only issue is that it only lasted about an hour, but the quality over quantity was absolutely worth it. Will I get more of these? You do not even have to ask, as the answer is a big YES!
My go to for consistency, taste and strength.
Great cigar
This is one of my two all time favorite cigars. The other is Padron 1964 Anniversary. The Green is the best 601 cigar in my opinion. I love it MUCH more than the red, regardless of the ratings,.
Excellent medium strength cigar with great even smoke through out the entire cigar. Burned well with great flavor which included cedar, coffee, small amounts of pepper and chocolate. This a great cigar for the price.
I ve purchased around seven boxes of 601 green label cigars and this one takes the prize. The cigar sports a wonderful toothy wrapper and this vitiola really brings out the essence of it. This cigar is strong flavored and it ages well. I have a couple of boxes that are over four years old the date was written on the inside of the lid and let me tell you, the cigars are smoking wonderfully. They are nice when they are younger, but with a little rest they really get smooth and creamy. This cigar is not comparable to a Cubans, but when I want something that is cheap and packs a satisfying punch, I often reach for these. Goes well with coffee...
A wonderful addition to my collection. I was looking for something different than a toro or robusto and came across the la punta. Well constructed, good pre-light flavour and good draw during smoking but this baby had me on the ropes half way down. A bit cross eyed, I slowed my draw down and continued to the nub. The flavour was strong but not bitter - sort of like heavy porto.
