Created by blend meisters Rafael Nodal and Nestor Plasencia, for this selection Nodal said he wanted to "capture the very essence of the land's core," by creating a super-premium cigar that "displays the richness Nicaraguan soils can bring to quality tobaccos." And so, each Pura Cepa cigar is blended with the finest tobaccos from the Esteli, Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe growing regions. Wait, did we say "super-premium"? At one time, these purebreds were among the tippiest top of shelves in terms of price. But that's before we landed in Managua and trekked the Pan-American highway to Plascenia's vast warehouse.
