Oliva takes a mellow turn – and with it, completes our Baptiste trifecta. Most Nicaraguan cigars are, by their nature, a pretty robust smoking affair. But instead of the full-boded, hack-and-slash profiles the other Baptistes can offer, this Oliva Baptiste Connecticut is a mellow smoke - even though the Nicaraguan tobaccos still find a way to slice and dice some impressively deep flavors of earth and wood plus a hint of coffee.
Plenty flavorful and presented in our most popular sizes, we recommend this Baptiste as an excellent introduction to Nicaraguan tobacco. But if you already know you like the sultry and softly-spiced taste of Oliva’s Connecticut wrapper blends, you’ll love it even more for half the price – order your box now!

Absolutely great cigar. Mild but not boring. Superb draw, construction, and wrapper. Lots of creamy smoke. Quite amazing for the $. True Oliva. This cigar will be a constant in my humidor.
I start my day with a Baptiste Conneticut and Finnish with a Baptiste Maduro. These beautiful sicks burn evenly with no issues. I set my cigar down often and Baptiste s stay lit while I work. The first third is extreamly mild but half way through the cedar kiks in and as you aproach the finnal third a sweet coffee and nutmeg fills your mouth. I put my sticks in the humidor for a mounth before smoking this insures they are in perfect shape to bring all those sutle notes into my being.
Easy draw, even burn, good flavor, five star! Will buy again!
Excellent cigar by Olivia once more. Very consistent burn with mild flavor all the way to the end. Can t beat the price!!!!
I smoke one everyday I like them so much and for the price I think it is a top tier stick
Well made, easy to light, even burning and a decent draw. Kind of starts off with a light flavor of dried hay with a light creaminess coming in as you burn through it. A good mild to low medium smoke.
Good Smooth Smoke with a very lite cedar nutmeg sweetness.
The Baptiste Connecticut Cigars have become my new favorite it’s mellow with a wonderful flavor.
I keep in the neighborhood of 1000 cigars in my humidors and smoke everything from expensive to bundle cigars. When it comes to affordable, everyday, Connecticut wrapped, boxed cigars, the Oliva Baptist CT Robusto is among my favorites. Like all Oliva products, it’s rare to find one that draws poorly. For lack of a better word, there’s a touch more natural sweetness in Baptist than in the other CT Oliva made cigars. It’s slightly looser on the roll too and produces a substantial smoke volume that’s mild most of the way through, but not lacking in flavor. If you’re looking for an affordable boxed Connecticut cigar, this stick shouldn’t be overlooked.
One of my favorite Cuban cigars is Por Larrinaga panatela. Baptiste is a very similar flavor profile that never bites and is always consistent. My only complaint is that there is no Lonsdale size. I like a Churchill, but Lonsdale IMO provides the best balance to filler/wrapper flavor and is better size when I don t have a lot of time .
