The third release in the Protocol Lawmen Series honors Bass Reeves, the country’s first black Deputy US Marshal who was highly decorated and was responsible for 3,000 arrests. He was also reputed to be the inspiration for the Lone Ranger. And like it’s two predecessors in the Lawmen posse, Bass Reeves is offered with a choice between two wrappers.
Natural: Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos. Medium plus and delivers notes of cedar, baking spices, and caramel.
Maduro: Nicaraguan Habano over Nicaraguan long fillers. Closer to full bodied with flavors of black pepper, earthiness, and sweeter cappuccino.
Both blends are offered in a 6 x 52 box-pressed toro and are crafted at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory. High ho Silver and away—but not before you order your box of Bass Reeves.
