Casa Turrent 1880 Doble Claro cigars were one of three 2022 releases blended entirely with Mexican tobaccos grown by the Turrent family. FYI: A. Turrent is not only the largest grower of cigar tobacco in Mexico, but Mexican tobacco has become more and more popular since blenders began using it in so many of Central America’s leading premium cigar brands.
Skillfully handcrafted at Turrent’s San Andrés Tuxtla, Mexico factory, the 91-rated blend boasts a lustrous Mexican Connecticut seed wrapper with San Andrés Habano Criollo and Negro filler tobaccos clenched in a San Andrés Negro binder. Additionally, all of the tobaccos have been carefully fermented followed by 10 years of aging. Creamy-smooth on the palate, the medium-bodied blend offers a sweet and spicy flavor profile with a long nutty finish and a luscious floral aroma.
