Eastern Standard cigars have begun earned a reputation as a head-turner…and with the boutique cigar market on fire, Caldwell is surely deserving of a slice of the action with this one. Part of the Caldwell Collection, Eastern Standard utilizes “Grade A” tobaccos, all rare and hard-to-find. Meant to smoke on the milder end of the range, Caldwell Eastern Standard does it and then some, rounding out to medium via the Dark Connecticut wrapper. The flavors are fat and complex; order now, and see…
I used to be able to get these locally. Now, the Cream Crush size is impossible to find around me. Not to mention, they were $15/stick. I was happy to see Famous Smoke carries these. Though they are a bit pricey, these are by far one of the best smokes I ve had. Comparable to some of the top names in cigars like Ashton and Cohiba. The taste is unique, the burn is always even and well-tamed, and lots of smoke after sitting in the humidor for a few weeks. My only complaint is the last couple inches usually turns to a foul/bitter taste and I had a few locally that were bad burners. However, the ones I ve purchased from FS have seemed to be perfect.
I have bought this from my local shop on more than one occasion. The burn has always been perfect even while golfing . Everything about this Cigar is great! The taste is unique, its very creamy and smooth through the first half and has a nice toasted coconut taste throughout, only getting stronger toward the end with a nice hint of black coffee. Its really terrific. Get one.
