Flores y Rodriguez Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro cigars are aptly named for the dark, oily Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrappers that surround a blend of Dominican Corojo, Criollo '98, and Condega-grown Nicaraguan fillers framed by dual Ecuador Corojo & Nicaraguan Habano binder leaves.
"Connecticut broadleaf wrapper is difficult to work with," says PDR Cigars' Abe Flores, who wanted a cigar that was "more nuanced," and added that the broadleaf he used for this blend "gave it a ton of flavor with just the right amount of weight."
Full-bodied and marvelously complex, the smoke issues base flavors of mocha, cedar and peppery spice, as notes of sweet chocolate, coffee, and roasted nuts weave their way along the route of your journey – impressive, to say the least.
Flores y Rodriguez Connecticut Valley Reserve Maduro cigars are offered in 4 shapes and presented in jars of 19. OK, they're a little on the pricey side, but if you want a cigar that'll turn the usual visit to the cigar lounge into a ticket to paradise, they're worth it.
