What happens when industry giants, Hoyo de Monterrey and AJ Fernandez, collaborate? Hoyo La Amistad Gold happens, that's what. The next line in the La Amistad series, the Gold is crafted at AJ's factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The cigar employs an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a core comprised of tobaccos from Nicaragua's four major growing regions: Esteli, Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe. Once brought together, the blend imparts echoes of cocoa, walnut, leather, and fruit, all in a satisfyingly full-bodied experience. When an old legend trusts their name to a new legend's master skills, perfection is expected; some will say that's exactly what you'll get. Shop now!
Smooth and even draw and great smoke from start to finish.
Great cigar, full bodied would recommend after a meal
All around good cigar.
The Hoya La Amistad Toro is an excellent cigar. Easy draw. Lots of smoke. Mix of flavors from beginning to end. Pretty much what you expect from a cigar made by A.J. Fernandez.
I have been telling my cigar friends for a few years now that A J was up & coming blending star ! This cigar is just another example that A J has arrived as a star ! It has got to be one of the best cigars for 2017 period ! But smoker beware I consider it the strongest Hoyo I have ever smoked .
This in my opinion is the best cigar on the market today! From start to finish I experienced 4 flavor changes, so I saw 5 different flavor profiles through out the duration of the cigar. The complexity this cigar brings to the table rivals any $20, $30, or even $50 stick. I plan on heading back to buy a box, smoke half now and then age the other half just because I am curious to see how this cigar would change after several years of aging. If you haven t tried them yet, I suggest that you do because I don t feel like they will be around much longer being that they are a limited run, they are of fantastic quality and they are affordable for all budgets. Thank you Hoyo and A.J. Fernandez. KEEP SMOKIN!!
A peppery creamy smoke with a razor sharp burn with great draw!!!
Very well made cigar, also high quality tobaccos. This is a creamy smoke but not quite as strong as I would like. I like Ligero tobaccos and this could surely use some. Not much Kick but a good smoke none the less. AJ seems to be making a lot of medium body cigars lately. While some would label this as Full I label it as a medium plus. I regularly smoke Oliva Master Blend 3 - Cain F Habano - Diesel Unlimited Maduro and 601 Blue & Green. These are FULL bodied cigars. This one?...Medium plus.
I bought a box as reviews on YouTube were decent. Is an okay smoke but better with coffee pairing in my opinion. I smoked one right after coming UPS. Maybe I should have let it rest first.
