Loosely translated, Indomina by AJ Fernandez is meant to be interpreted as fierce or untamable, and for the record, the blend sure performs that way. This is AJ Fernandez in action, loaded for bear with a nearly-full mix of Nicaraguan tobaccos that smoke with an abundance of classic spice, wood and leather flavors; a Mexican binder adds sweetness. But what really sends this cigar over the top is the Ecuador-grown Habano 2000 wrapper, a Cuban-seed/CT Shade hybrid that puts on finishing touches of lush, earthy flavor. Considering the work that went into making this cigar, and the time it took to bring it to market - it's priced stunningly lower than similar entries in the field. A big, full and well-rounded smoke. At this price, this cigar is a steal!!! I took a gamble when I saw a Monster deal on a box of these and bought it without having tried one before, and I hit the jackpot. Is this the best cigar I have ever had? No, but this smokes like a great cigar that costs double! It creates tons of smoke that is smooth and flavorful. Like the cigar advisor reviews, I found this very peppery in the first half--spicy on the tongue but creamy. However, the pepper was well balanced with some wood and cocoa flavors for me. The flavor shifted throughout the cigar but it was always good, and it was even good down to the mustache burning nub. The burn was nearly perfect and was a quick smoke for the size at 75min I usually get about 90-120min out of a cigar this size . If you like a full-bodied flavorful cigar, this will be a hit for you. At this price, this is a great choice for a regular stick.
Great cigars for the price. Not overly peppery or strong nicotine like most AJs. Nice sweetness and no drying astringency. Nearly perfect burn. If you smoke them slow, won’t go flat and can be nubbed. I would much rather save $5 and just sell them in a bundle, the plywood box is junk and the lid came off second time opening. I wish the new world cigar companies would bring the old world foil wrapped bundles back. These would be be a perfect candidate.
AJ on his A game here. This cigar is legitimately a spice bomb from start to finish only changing spice profiles the more you smoke it but never losing that razor sting on your palate.
Well constructed, easy to light with a decent draw. Flavor gives me pepper and cream all the way to the stump. Quite enjoyable. Tried the retro on this, was like fire through the nostrils, like powdered pepper. Either way, this is a good cigar! Just won’t retrohale again.
I did not expect they are so surprisingly good, i bought only a 5 pack and now plan to buy a box. Will be buying them.
Easy, consistent draw. Solid construction with visible but minimal veins and seams. Burn required a few touch-ups. Rich, creamy smoke. Good aroma with hints of baking spices. Flavor in the 1st third kicks off with cedar, raisins, some pepper spice, and a malty sweetness. The 2nd third introduces subtle fruity flavors. The final third remains rich but slightly smoother. The ash is white and light and falls off a bit too fast. The AJ Indomina is delicious and fantastically complex for the price.
Full body, razor sharp burn. Just make sure you give them some time in the humidor.
WOW! ONE OF THE FINEST STICKS I VE EVER SMOKED. AJ HAS DONE IT AGAIN! THIS HARD TO FIND CIGAR IS RICH BUT SMOOTH, PERFECT BURN, LOTS OF THICK SMOKE ETC. ONLY PLACE I COULD FIND THEM IS FAMOUS-SMOKE.COM. AT THE SALE PRICE WHAT A STEAL!
I bought a jar of the toro s. Being a big fan of anything AJ whips up, I had to try these. What a find! Rich, creamy, chocolaty goodness. one of the best sticks I ve had recently regardless of price. Just the right amount of kick , and a perfect burn.Thanx, Famous...keep up the great work!
The cigar packaging and presentation is great, but the burn, aroma and taste fail to deliver.
