Island Jim is created by Oscar Valladares Cigars includes the #2 which is a unique looking cigar shaped similar to A a number #2 pencil. Jim Robinson a.k.a Island Jim is a cigar shop owner out of Pennsylvania, he partnered with Leaf by Oscar to create these medium-bodied smokes. Island Jim cigars are handcrafted in Honduras with a top-secret blend featuring a Honduran filler & binder tobacco dressed in a copper-colored Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf wrapper. The profile lends notes of sweet spice and robust chocolate. This is a great stick with a pleasant aroma and smooth draw. Island Jim cigars offer Grade-A quality, it?s worth a try!
This cigar has spice. Not a bite, it is d**n smooth , but strong notes of spice. I cannot pin it down but an all-spice or nutmeg flavor that keeps this cigar interesting. An amazing smoke, easy draw, and a flavor unlike any other. A quick new favorite to show off to friends.
Love this one! As with most of Oscar's stuff, the construction and burn are excellent. The cool idea to make it shaped like a pencil, shaggy foot, and the most important part. What's inside! Always a super long ash, and the taste, aroma, really make this a 93 stick to me. I look forward to seeing what some years do for it. Kiel1969, let's take turns buddy, we don't need to compete, lol. Next week its ur turn.
This smokes as good as it looks. Great flavor, silky smoke, and a great feel when smoking it. Was hooked on its look thinking it was a gimmicj but this stick is a solid 90 !!!
I normally smoke a full bodied cigar, tried this from a friend, all i can say is wow, hooked.
Really enjoy the consistent flavor I get from these, but my only drawback on this order is that on the first one I smoked from this pack started burning in 3 different places along the cigar, possibly caused by a large stem I discovered going through the center of the cigar. The label started getting hot and I removed it to discover the cigar burning through where the label was, about 2? behind the lit end of the cigar. I was driving at the time and it became a bit of an inconvenience. The rating I gave is based on the incident, which I should assume is not going to happen again. As for the smoke itself, I would give 5 stars
I like a medium cigar - this one is a little tart or has a little bite. If this is your taste, you ll like them. For me, I like something with less bite a little more smooth.
Overpriced for what it is.
