La Gloria Cubana Colección Reserva cigars are a collaboration between Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, creator of the Dominican-made La Gloria Cubana brand, and Jhonys Diaz who oversees General Cigar’s cigar making operations. The cigars are also made at Carrillo's Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic and the results are stunning. The blend starts with an all-Nicaraguan filler & binder core seamlessly rolled in a Sumatra seed wrapper grown in the extra rich soil of Quevedo in Ecuador's Los Rios province. The smoke issues base flavors of cedar, roasted almonds, nutmeg, and light pepper that increase from medium to medium-full in the final third. The Colección Reserva is solid in every respect, from the perfect construction to the sweet, woody aroma. A must for anyone who smokes La Gloria Cubana cigars, as well as cigar smokers who appreciate the spicy flavor of prime Nicaraguan tobacco. Reasonably-priced and arguably one of the best La Gloria cigars to-date, be sure to add some Colección Reserva to your next Famous Smoke Shop order.
