La Meridiana cigars are a reboot from Villiger Cigars that debuted in Germany during the late 1990s under the company's subsidiary brand, el Mundo del Tabaco. Today, these Nicaraguan puros are available to all with a new box design, a more full-flavored blend, and are available at a price that every cigar smoker can afford.
Available in three popular formats, Corona (5½" x 42), Robusto (5" x 50), and Short Churchill (4¾" x 48), the smoke issues notes of earth, roasted nuts, and spices with undertones of wood on the finish. "The taste explodes in your mouth," said Villiger's promotion and event manager, Dominik Botti, about La Meridiana, adding that the best time to enjoy this medium to full-bodied cigar is "when you have eaten well, after a good dinner," and suggests pairing the cigar with coffee or a glass of red wine.
