Underneath that thick wrapper, a sultry Sumatra leaf is bound around aged fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Combined, they give La Coalicion a complex balance of flavors ranging from cocoa sweet, to pepper and spice, to a savory saltiness that complements both.
