These cigars are a strange beast. The reviews are nearly all really favorable but there are a few like one here that are the opposite. My cigars arrived really wet. Extended shipping times dang caronavirus , middle of summer 100 degree weather for days on end, and shipping shock did a number on these when they arrived. Tried to smoke one ROTT and I too got acrid and terrible bitter flavors. Let them rest for two weeks and tried another. Still less than stellar but much improved. Tried a third one after dry boxing for 24 hours and clipping and putting in the fridge for about 30 min. MUCH BETTER! The flavors finally came through sweet raisin, sweet cedar, spices, and leather predominantly and the cigar was very enjoyable. I think the ageing potential on these is incredible. So much so that I ve purchased 100 to bury in the humidor. Quality for these blowout prices is unheard of.I went big on some other Villiger closeouts as well in the past and it was a similar process of being disappointed at first but then being tickled pink once enough time passed and realizing what gems I had. I expect the La Vencedora will be the same. This time though, I won t be kicking myself and wishing I purchased more when the getting was good. Get them while you can!
This is something new I decided to try and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of flavor I am getting out of this cigar! It burned great all the way through and this was a churchill so it was no small stogie.
Had a really good one and the next was poorly constructed and not good.. Villiger c mon! This is basically how I felt about their Yeclan and San Diego Colorado both highly rated and promising but lack consistency between sticks..
I ve been looking for a good 8,9, $10 cigar. Famous had 5-packs of these on Cigar Monster for $20.00. There was one review, it was 5-star, so I thought I d give them a try. AAGGGHHH!, the taste is sooo bad! It tastes like something that s been lying under the back porch for a couple of months. I just tried to smoke the fourth one of my 5-pack last night, couldn t finish it. Haven t been able to finish any of them. The construction was pretty good, some hollow spots. How can anyone put out a cigar that tastes like this and charge $40.00 for a 5-pack? I don t get it. I have one left what should I do with it? Thanks to Famous for printing all of their reviews, good or bad.
