L'Atelier translated from the French language to "the workshop", and is the flagship brand of L'Atelier Cigar Imports, a Miami-based cigar company founded by Pete Johnson (Tatuaje), his brother, and a couple of friends. The cigars are rolled at My Father cigars in Nicaragua using a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos cloaked in a special Ecuadorian wrapper known as Sancti Spiritus, a Criollo/Pelo d'Oro hybrid grown by the Oliva Tobacco Company. The cigars offer a medium to medium-full experience, with full, complex flavors.
I am a busy guy with three little kids. Time is precious. These short smokes are awesome and do not compromise one iota on flavor smoke output etc. Also great for when I finish a cigar with a buddy and I am not quite ready for the conversation to end. Will definitely make these a regular purchase.
I finally found satisfaction in a 20 min. package! Expertly rolled, great draw, lots of smoke and excellent flavor. I m a fan.
When I heard Pete Johnson was inspired by the Cohiba Behike, I had to give this one a burn. Looks exquisite out of the wrapper and is very well constructed. It took a minute to lit, but the burn was superb. A smooth creamy flavor that got heartier towards the back end. Not as full-bodied as the construction and smoke would suggest but well worth the price. Very good but not exceptional smoke.
