Marsh Wheeling cigars were founded in 1840 by Mifflin M. Marsh who began by rolling and selling his cigars in his home. Eventually moving to its historic location in Wheeling, West Virginia, M. Marsh & Son is noted as the oldest cigar manufacturing company in the United States. Additionally, the classic, yellow and blue Marsh Wheeling cigar boxes became a staple of the industry, and have even been seen in such movies as The Green Mile, Jaws, and AMC's Mad Men series.
Today, these machine-made cigars are blended with prime, aged Dominican tobaccos, making them a favorite for their mellow flavor, dependable quality, and affordable price. If you're looking for a cheap, yet tasty, everyday cigar, add a box of Marsh Wheeling to your cart now.
Boy am I glad these are being made again! I started smoking these as a teenager participating in Civil War reenactments and have missed these cigars dearly. Okay, here we go: Excellent roll that copies the original lancero shape, good long smoke time, I ve never had an uneven burn with these unlike the originals , and the flavor is close enough to the originals to make me want to keep smoking them and buying more! My only gripe is the band is now a pull and unwrap type instead of the old loose and slide off type. The glue doesn t ever adhere to the cigar itself, but to the opposite end of the band, making it difficult to remove. Buy a box today, taste the American History, and I ll bet money that it will become your new daily smoke!
good cigar for price. I only wish you could give more of a discount for senior citizens.
These are a great little cigar. I use to but the Conastogies back in the70 s. Can t find them anymore.
