Meridian cigars marked the debut release from Cornelius & Anthony, a premium cigar company with, not Cuban tobacco roots, Virginia tobacco roots - and quite pedigreed roots, at that.
"My family has been growing tobacco in southern Virginia since the1860s," says Cornelius & Anthony founder, Steven Anthony Bailey. His great-great grandfather, Cornelius Bailey, was the first known Bailey family member to farm tobacco in the southern piedmont section of Virginia and the inspiration for the company name. "My longstanding admiration and appreciation of fine cigars prompted the idea to pay homage to my family's tobacco history and dedication to the leaf."
Produced in Estelí, Nicaragua, Meridian cigars are handcrafted with a core of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos bound in a Nicaraguan leaf and finished with Ecuadorian-grown wrappers that shimmer with an attractive rosy patina. Expect a well-balanced, medium-bodied smoke teeming with rich notes of spice and cedar wood with a creamy lingering sweetness on the finish.
Available in four popular sizes presented in handsomely illustrated boxes of 20 cigars, Cornelius & Anthony Meridian cigars deliver a smoking experience you will want to return to often at a very reasonable price. Be sure to add some to your next order.
