Boutique smokes on a budget: New Cuba Connecticut cigars deliver that satisfying small-batch flavor in grand fashion. Casa Fernandez is a boutique-like few others - while they’ve earned a spot in the top 25 and garnered multiple 90+ ratings on their cigars, they’re also one of just a handful of cigar companies to only use tobacco grown by themselves.
With outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail, a smoke from such a company is a step above any run-of-the-mill budget cigar. Grown in the rich, volcanic soils of Nicaragua, the New Cuba Connecticut holds a rich Cuban-sandwich intermingling of Nicaraguan long-fillers, blended by Cuban Masters and coated in a rich Connecticut Shade Grown wrapper. While mild, there’s a distinct creamy, toasty, and nutty profile that can be enjoyed in the morning or after a rich dinner.

Good draw smooth cigar
Great smooth smoke for this price point. My go to on camping trips. 50% soking and 50% ykking and hanging out of my mouth!!
a decent smoke no it is not a cuban nor does it claim to be its a cuban roll I enjoyed the smoke very much it is a medium to full body cigar
The Casa Fernandez New Cuba TITAN is a good cigar, the PRESIDENT is not!! The TITAN is long filler, with a tasty rosado wrapper, The PRESIDENT is chopped filler, and there is no notification of this anywhere. What a dirty trick. And, I would not expect this from Fernandez. It has almost no flavor. Of course it needed a couple of touchups. Maybe more, if I hadn t thrown the second half away. They arrived perfectly humidified. So, that wasn t the problem. But, just to be fair, I ll put them in the humidor and retest in a month. But, that s illogical. Since the one I smoked had no flavor at all. But, we ll see. I m a fair guy. Maybe tomorrow I ll decide to send then back. I ll have to weigh out the hassle and cost against the price.
I saw these were priced really low so I thought I d give them a try, not really expecting much. But I was totally blown away with the flavor, construction and quality. I have smoked 5 of these in 2 days and just ordered 2 bundles before someone realizes they priced them to cheap.
Just got these, trying to find a new every day smoke and I think these are it. Matter of fact I’m sure these are it. To sum it up in one word I’d say.... fantastic. Terrific burn, amazing taste of cedar, hay and cream. Feel like these cigars should cost more than what they already are. The room note is pleasing. The ash holds on for about 2”. Smoke is smooth with no “bite”. Usually I’m a Maduro hobbyist, typically enjoying Drew Estate’s undercrown in Maduro but Im honestly impressed. Just an excellent smoke and experience.
This is a Great Cigar. I will definitely by more. Nice burn, and Great taste!!!
Second purchase of these. The latest were quite fresh so I found they didn’t burn as evenly as the first batch. Will store them several weeks.
Won t knock your socks off, but a well-built mid-afternoon smoke. Even burn and nice flavor.
Very decent stick for the price. Excellent smoke production. Burns quite even if smoked at an average rate. I very rarely need to touch em up once lit. I can get about an inch of ash before I have to roll it off otherwise it ends up on my lap. First third has to be the best. It s creamy. Enjoyable and mild. Second third is just as good but becomes a tad harsher which in itself isn t a bad thing. Last third, I get more of a harsh, acidic taste on the inhale and will usually be done with them at the beginning of it unless I feel adventurous. It also gets hot by the end. The taste is quite smooth and enjoyable although nothing to write home about. As for the aftertaste, it s quite manageable. You won t taste it the next day unless you smoke a dozen of these a day. I ve only been through four so far and consistency has been great. Overall, a solid 4 stars if you keep in mind that those are cheap sticks.
