Original Rebel by E.P. Carrillo cigars are the latest addition to the highly-acclaimed E.P. Carrillo "Dimension" cigars portfolio. Offered in two wrapper choices - a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro for the Original Rebel "Rebellious" shapes, and a natural Ecuadorian wrapper for the Original Rebel "Maverick." Both blends are offered in wide ring sizes that range from 52 to 56, and are built on a Nicaraguan long-filler core, with the Rebellious having an Ecuadorian binder.

The "Original Rebel" name was inspired by Alan (Alec Bradley Cigars) Rubin who referred to Ernesto Perez-Carrillo as "the original rebel." (Being that Mr. Perez-Carrillo was the creator of the iconic La Gloria Cubana Cigars, it sure makes perfect sense to us.) Also sensible is the price of the Original Rebel cigar selections, which are offered in 10-ct. boxes. Expect a rich-tasting, full-bodied, and well-balanced smoke brimming with earthy-spicy notes on a long, luxurious finish. Got a little rebel in you? Add some Original Rebel by E.P. Carrillo cigars to your cart now.
I can t believe nobody has reviewed this here, and that there are so few reviews available online. I guess someone has to be the first, so here we go. Visually this cigar is not good looking, especially compared to the Padron 1964 Pyramydes I keep these with in my humidor. Its rugged looking, but not in a bad way. The flavors are excellent and strong, at one point about halfway through, I felt like I just got smacked in the face with a bouquet of flowers. The smoke is plentiful and thick. Draw is smooth. The burn line can be jagged at times, but don t touch it up, just adjust how you re holding it and it will correct itself. This was the most fun I ve had smoking in a very long time.Put aside at least two hours to enjoy this beast of a cigar.
