Pappy Van Winkle Tradition cigars are premium long-filler cigars handcrafted by Drew Estate Cigars in collaboration with the family who owns the internationally renowned stable of Pappy Van Winkle whiskies. Using perfectly-aged long-filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic & Nicaragua framed by an Indonesian binder, the blend is finished in a dark, Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper leaf.
Speaking of the blend, Pappy Van Winkle Tradition is actually one of three blends created in 2010 by Drew Estate Master Blender, Willy Herrera. (Herrera made them during his "trial period" at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate, and the rest is history.)
The smoke is medium-plus to full in body, making them ideal for pairing with your favorite bourbon (preferably, Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon), which enhances some of the blend's peppery elements. Notes of oak, leather, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and sweet spice make for a delectably complex and relaxing smoke. A MUST for Drew Estate fans and bourbon lovers, be sure to add some to your next order.
