Perdomo Edición de Silvio Sun Grown cigars are the pinnacle of perfection in luxury cigars. Made with only the best, most fully-aged, estate-grown tobaccos from Perdomo's farms in Nicaragua – we're talking the cream-of-the-crop here – this selection was made in honor of Nick Perdomo Jr.'s grandfather, Silvio Perdomo, who was born in San José de las Lajas, Cuba. Silvio's apprenticeship began at Cuesta y Cia. in the early 1930's, then on to the H. Upmann Cigars factory in 1937, and finally to the famed Partagas Cigars factory in 1945. His son, Nicholas Sr., took up the trade in 1948 and both father and son later worked together at Partagas until 1959 when the Cuban Revolution destroyed everything.
Made in limited edition, nothing is left to chance in the creation of these fine cigars. The rare tobaccos used in this edition are also further aged in 50-year-old oak barrels to bring out even more of the flavors in every leaf. When the tobaccos are ready, they're handed over to Perdomo's best torcedors for rolling in the most select sun-grown wrappers that glisten with a mouthwatering, brick-hued patina. The smoke issues a smooth, creamy and full-bodied banquet of coffee, cocoa, earthy spice, oak, and sweet tobacco in perfect balance.
If you've already acquired a taste for Perdomo Cigars, or just can't get enough of that wonderfully rich Nicaraguan flavor, it doesn't get any better than the Edición de Silvio. Worth every penny, too! Make sure you always have some in your humidor.
