I was suspicious to be honest. RP has a tendency to be sort of harsh when smoking a maduro but this Stick was really really good , i mean REALLY GOOD . It has so many interesting aspects to it, draw excellent, burn excellent, toast awesome , aroma incredible, flavor yummy, smooth smooth smooth smoke Really like it A LOT
Complexing body with many intelligent levels, soft touches and a great slow burner. Perfect for that mid point or end of the day kind smoke. It s matches perfectly with Hakushu 12 Year. Pretty beautiful look from the wrapper to the design of the label too. Not really something you may like but for some reason it goes nicely with italian opera.
Finally this is a recreation of the very best of Rocky Patel..just what I always remembered the original rockys. Can’t go wrong with these. GREAT SMOKE
Have no experience with the original. The packaging is too beautiful for this cigar; because it dresses up a totally lovely looking cigar with no character. It is an even burner that has a taste of zero except for a low grade pepper note that just hangs in until it drives me to brush my teeth and scrub my taste buds to get rid of it! It may improve with years more aging but it may never improve?! So bad I m sending them back for exchange. A rating of 83! Yuck!
