Once you asked us for an everyday smoke that was "more fiesta than siesta," it shouldn't have come as a surprise that this Rocky Patel cigar ended up with an extra touch of San Andres. Many cigar makers -- boutique and otherwise - have been turning to this luscious Mexican-raised tobacco to tweak their blends with some added sweetness, plus a savory character. So when our guys sat down with Rocky's blenders and told them what we wanted for this next addition to our exclusive RP house series, everybody knew that San Andres would be the finishing touch on this mouthwatering Maduro. Built on a foundation of sturdy Nicaraguan tobaccos, this Rocky gets to the heart of what a good San Andres should be: a smoke with great boldness, as well as a nice, sweet undertone.
We decided to keep the price sweet, too. Choose Rocky Patel San Andres cigars in plus-sized Robustos or Toros, or go Gordo with a 6 x 60 that hits all the senses -- and add a box to your cart now!
Picked up a five pack of these as a Cigar Monster deal. It smokes very similar to the Vintage 2006 but has a lighter colored wrapper and isn t as strong. Very even burn and a draw that s just a little bit tighter than perfect but not cramp-inducing. Had a little trouble keeping it lit and the smoke was not as thick as I would have preferred but I think that s more an issue with the gordo size than the blend. I could definitely see myself buying a box but probably in the robusto size instead.
I am a big Rocky Patel fan, but I recently purchase a box of Rocky Patel San Andres Sixty, and I am very disappointed. The draw is terrible. It is like smoking a wooden dowel. Threw them in the garbage.
These cigars were so tightly rolled you can’t get a draw through the stick I tried everything cutting straight, using a draw poker nothing works would not recommend these cigars very disappointed.
