It's Kyle Gellis' 30th birthday - and he wants to celebrate with you. The party favor is Warped Gran Reserve 1988, one of the fullest-bodied smokes he's made - thanks in large part to Aganorsa tobacco used in this puro blend, Corojo wrapper included. Made to be savored in just one size, a 5 1/4" x 50 Robusto, it's a mix of spicy and sweet with a long finish and enjoyably floral aroma. An excellent follow-up to 2017's Guardian of the Farm series. This was an amazing experience. The flavor was not over powering. burn time was nice. I definitely want to purchase a box. Just ordered their bits of Havana pack of five. Can t wait
Kevin in Nashville was right. Perfect burn and consistent throughout, this stick provided a thick, creamy smoke. I just had a Caldwell Eastern Standard Cream Crush that I enjoyed but felt the 1988 was a simpler smoke. Many people like a complex flavor that changes as the cigar progresses, which works for me at times. However, more often than not I enjoy smoth, consistent, creamy, medium body cigar. The Warped Serie Gran Reserve 1988 is exactly that.
Nice smoke! I’m not a fan of DR leaf, as they seem to be too creamy for my stomach. I mention this as the Warped Nicuraguan puro starts out with a little creaminess, but not overpowering like the Dominican leaf. Begins to smooth out with a ~medium, tasty, well balanced center and subtle peppery finish which is how I prefer ‘em I’m a huge My Father Le Bijue 1922 fan and have written a review on this site ....think the Le Bijue will remain my daily smoke, tho I think I’ll add these for a quality morning start-up! I read that the production of these sticks were delayed until 2018....good thing, as I believe Gellis got this one right!
This really may be my favorite cigar. The balance of flavor that this smoke has is something to behold. It s got just the right amount of sweetness, creaminess, and spice, and these flavors are present in perfect harmony.
