The Organica line of hand rolled premiums are 100% certified organic cigars. Farming methods free of chemicals and pesticides are used to grow the tobaccos in two regions of Nicaragua where the soils are dark and rich with minerals and nutrients. The leaves are carefully cured after harvesting, then aged three years to create this aromatic and well-balanced blend. These mild to medium-bodied cigars have a pure, natural tobacco flavor giving off delicious woody notes.
In 2000, Nestor Plasencia he told Smoke Magazine in an interview that, "Anyone who tells you they know everything there is to know about tobacco is either a liar or a fool. There are so many variables, so much is left to nature, that we can't know or control everything. But we must control what we can to the best of our abilities.
As far as some interesting history about Plasencia cigars... Nestor Plasencia, Sr. was born in Cuba in 1950 to a tobacco growing family which emigrated after the Cuban Revolution of 1959. During the early 1980's, as a result of the Sandinista revolution, he lost his farms and factories in Nicaragua. He then moved his focus across the border to neighboring Honduras.
