Must-Try Flavored & Infused Cigars

Whether you’re a casual puffer or a cigar fanatic, chances are your first was either a flavored or machine-made cigar. Before you start judging, flavored cigars are the most popular variety of premiums by volume consumed than any other type of cigar.

Facts don’t lie.

While classic sweetened cigars like Swisher Sweets and White Owl have been around for generations, flavored brands like Acid, Tatiana, and CAO have contributed to a surge in the flavored market in the last 15 years. Please keep in mind that these are not cheap gas station cigars (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but full-fledged premiums made by some of the biggest brands in the premium cigar industry – and we’re going to look at the best of the best.

ACID Kuba Kuba

Probably the most popular cigar from Acid, which I’m also willing to bet is the most popular infused cigar brand on the market. If you’re an Acid lover, there’s no need for me to tell you how great this premium is. But for those greenhorns out there—this is one fantastic smoke. The Kuba Kuba is made with a Sumatra wrapper and infused tobacco with undisclosed essential oils to give it a bouquet of floral notes along with a gentle sweetness that hits the palate just right. Whether you’re an Acid smoker or not, there’s no doubt Acid played a crucial role in launching Drew Estate into the big leagues.

Asylum 867 Midnight Oil

Asylum 867 Midnight Oil is a dark, full-bodied Nicaraguan cigar that hits hard with espresso and pepper flavors. The oily wrapper burns slowly, giving you plenty of time to enjoy its intense taste. Not recommended for beginners, but great for those who like their cigars and coffee bold and rich. It's a solid smoke that delivers consistent flavor from start to finish.

Azucar Espinosa

Azucar is Espinosa’s first stab into the flavored cigars market, and he nailed it. Azucar, Spanish for sugar, is an aromatic trip that’s full of sweet vanilla and toasty flavors. While the blend remains a secret, there’s no reason this cigar has to stay hidden. Use the Azucar as a starter stick for new smoker friends or simply enjoy them yourself.

CAO Flavours Bella Vanilla

The Bella Vanilla doesn't hit you over the head with artificial sweetness - instead, it delivers a sophisticated vanilla infusion that complements its mild tobaccos. The sweet notes are creamy and natural, reminiscent of high-quality vanilla bean rather than cheap extract. Wrapped in a Cameroon leaf and loaded with premium Dominican tobaccos, Bella Vanilla is the kind of flavored cigar that even skeptics can appreciate.

Drew Estate Deadwood Fat Bottom Betty

Drew Estate Deadwood Fat Bottom Betty hides a surprisingly refined experience beneath its rustic appearance. This Maduro-clad beauty opens with rich notes of dark chocolate and espresso, quickly developing into a complex profile of leather, cedar, and subtle spices that complement its consistent sweetness. For the best of both worlds between traditional and infused blends, look no further.

JMs Dominican Honey Berry

Sometimes simple is best, and JMs Dominican proves that point beautifully with Honey Berry. These approachable smokes combine the natural sweetness of wildflower honey with bright berry. The Connecticut wrapper provides a smooth canvas for the flavors while Dominican fillers add just enough tobacco character to remind you this is still a premium cigar. Perfect for budding smokers or anyone looking for an easy-going experience that won't overwhelm.

M by Macanudo Honey

This golden-wrapped addition to Mac’s M series features a subtle honey infusion that complements the Connecticut Shade wrapper and Dominican core. The honey sweetness is subtle and well-integrated, providing just enough flavor to make things interesting without turning your smoke into candy. At a comfortable Robusto size, it's perfect for a relaxed evening when you want something sweet but still distinctly cigar-like. The Macanudo pedigree ensures consistent construction and burn, keeping M Honey up to its top-shelf standards.

The Bourbon Cigar

One of my favorite cigar pairings is with a stiff glass of Kentucky whisky and its signature sweet notes of oak and vanilla. But why not cut out the middleman and kill two birds with one stone? Formerly known as Maker’s Mark cigars (now ‘The Bourbon Cigar’), these premium tubos are flavored with top shelf bourbon via a special, proprietary method. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, this mild blend features premium Dominican long fillers with a creamy Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and a Shade Grown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper.

Tatiana Amaretto

Rarely do you see quality like this in miniatures, but Tatiana went all in with their Amaretto infused minis. These little guys fire off a hell of a lot of flavor for their mild body, featuring Cuban-seed tobacco that’s rolled and grown in the Dominican Republic, then finished with a super-fine Indonesian Sumatra wrapper. Smooth, sweet, and nicely infused with the smooth almond flavors of the famed Italian liqueur—what more can you ask for?
