CA Report: Top New Cigars (April 14, 2025)
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve been appreciating my local cigar lounge quite a bit lately. With those April showers coming down in full force, it’s the best place to light up some new cigars and talk with people for a little while.
If you haven’t taken the chance to enjoy some blends down at your local lounge, you should definitely take the chance. It’s always a good time.

La Aurora LE Hors D'Age Limited Edition 2023
Wrapper: Ecuador
Binder: Ecuador
Filler: Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua
La Aurora’s annual blend is the Hors D’Age, where every leaf in this blend has been aged for 12 years. This is one of those cigars that I didn’t know fully what to expect going in, I’ve smoked La Aurora in the past and I’ve liked everything I’ve had from them. But this cigar really blew all my expectations out of the water, just a delicious premium. It has this nice chewy smoke, and features notes of wood, cinnamon, cashew, and espresso. It’s one of those blends that would work great in any situation. That said, it is a limited-edition cigar, so if you’re looking to check this one out make sure you act quickly.
Drew Estate Nica Rustica Adobe Gordo

Binder: Brazil
Filler: Nicaragua
Nica Rustica Adobe is bringing a bigger ring to the line: the Gordo is their newest size, a 6x60. Big rings are the perfect thing to enjoy these low and slow kinds of days, and I really think that this is where this blend ended up shining for me. Just being able to enjoy the flavors in that laid back format. I’d suggest you pair this blend with a cup of coffee. It has these nutty and fruity notes that are great for any occasion. Check one of these out when you get the chance, it’s not one to pass up on.
H. Upmann Banker Ingot

Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua
A returning cigar, H. Upmann’s Banker is back after 8 years. If you didn’t take the opportunity to smoke it last time around, then this is your second chance. Everything to enjoy from that original blend is here in full force: notes of pepper, spice, coffee are here to satisfy the palate of any smoker. This is one of those cigars that just oozes style from its sleek design. If you’ve got the chance to check out this blend that only comes occasionally, take it. This is a cigar that’s tailor made to please.
